The Beltane Guild has three main initiatives:

1) CONSULT. Work with departments around the country to improve their reproductive health policies to better protect and serve their members

2) GRANTS. All career firefighters in the United States who are seeking fertility treatment are eligible for one of our $500 grants. It is our hope that in doing so, we are providing support and a community during what can often be an emotionally and physically stressful time.

3) RESEARCH. Research shows that firefighters have a higher risk of infertility due to hazardous exposures, heat, stress, irregular sleep patterns and more. Men are more likely to have decreased sperm count and motility, and women experience higher rates of miscarriage and infertility. We are collaborating with the nation’s top researchers to provide you with all the current studies and research in one place, right here on this website.
