So much has changed in the past four years since The Beltane Guild’s inception. Initially, every conversation about firefighter reproductive health was awkward. So awkward. Now it has become casual beanery table fodder. I am excited and inspired by our accomplishments in 2023 and can’t wait to share with you our plans for 2024.
2023 Highlight Reel:
We added new members to The Beltane Guild team
(6) $500 grants were provided to firefighters needing fertility treatment
The Beltane Guild was featured in an article by The 19th News
Leadership Conversations at the Kitchen Table - a podcast hosted by Berlin Maza, had us on the show for a passionate discussion about firefighter reproductive health
We were honored to be included in Women in Fire and NDRI’s $1 million dollar FEMA grant to build firefighter reproductive toolkits for nationwide distribution as well as an online education platform
The Beltane Guild attended the Redmond Symposium in New York and co-lectured at Science in the Station in Tucson, Arizona
Consultation services were provided to five fire departments and countless individuals in the United States and Canada who are actively trying to improve their reproductive health policies
2024 Events and Goals:
The Beltane Guild is in early discussions with a production company interested in developing a documentary on firefighter reproductive health
We will be co-hosting a booth and happy hour with Progyny Fertility Benefits at IAFF Boston August 25-30, 2024
Several of our board members will be lecturing at Women In Fire’s International Conference September 21-24 in San Diego, California
We will continue providing complimentary consulting services to fire departments and individuals seeking to improve their reproductive health policies to level of The Beltane Guild’s Gold Standard Policy
